GussieKutti

Hello,

Am recollecting the first time I saw Gussie. She was standing at the top of the stairs curiously looking down at the door opening (44 Windsor Way) to see who the new entrant was. She seemed as happy and excited about her new family as we were to have her with us. It is difficult to believe that she actually spent her first year with another family. A big thanks to them for training her so well - we discovered her "speak" and other talents along the way just by accident.
I wonder how many more she knew that we did not discover. What follows is something I read and thought it suited Gussie - have made suitable changes:

"Near this spot are deposited the remains of one who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, and all the Virtues of Man without his Vices. This praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery, if inscribed over human ashes, is but a just Tribute to the Memory of Gussiekuttie, our darling dog."

Love,
Anita

GussieKutti Yesterday(02/15/06) I finally mailed the check for Gussie's euthanasia and funeral expenses - I had recd the bill a month ago but kept postponing sending it just because it would be like a final goodbye to Gussie and a closure to the Dr. Marmur visits....
He was very nice to Gussie on all our visits - calling her 'so how you Ms Guss' and Gussie would wag her tail affectionately to be called and singled out among the waiting pets...
the last visits were painful for her I think tho she never said much...she came quite willingly - riding quietly in the back seat - with her nose out the window...and as always she loved to feel the wind on her face as the car sped on...in the last month it used to be wekly visits - every Monday when Dr. Marmur would re-fill her prescriptions - take her weight ...check her out...
